2014–Current – Ground Segment Manager and Payload Developer - SkyeSense Project, JAMSS America Incorporated (JAI), Houston, TX

• Co-developed, built, and launched a prototype hardware to the International Space Station called GLASS - GLobal AIS on Space Station. • Developed and implemented test protocols, coordinated data collection, storage, and distribution.

• Reviewed payload requirements and worked with vendors to implement design elements to improve product capabilities.

• Led data ground testing for GLASS at NASA facilities in Houston and Huntsville

• Co-led electromagnetic interference and acoustic testing at NASA facilities in Houston to ensure that the product meets NASA’s safety requirements.

• Work directly with NASA Space Station mission management, where I represented the Japanese space agency (JAXA) for technical and mission planning matters, addressed NASA concerns, and presented JAXA’s position on issues.

2005–2006 – Engineer, MTS Global, Houston, TX

• Authored several white papers on NASA’s Space Shuttle close-call awareness program.

• Conducted simulation training at Johnson Space Center to ensure compatibility of Japanese hardware on the International Space Station.

2000–2004 – Operations Specialist / Quartermaster, U.S. Coast Guard, Astoria, OR

• Navigator and Operations Specialist aboard a Coast Guard Cutter at sea.

• Conducted  several rescues resulting in the saving of a dozen lives; instrumental in the rescue of 1 person during a dockside emergency.

• Air Traffic and Direction Controller for 500+ helicopter missions; developed and presented daily mission briefings for helicopter operations.

• Analyzed and processed secure data, radio & satellite communications. Conducted surveillance of suspect vessels. Possessed Secret Clearance.
